The GEM project has been successfully completed!

The Grassroots exchange and mobility – empowering youth sport professionals (GEM) project was launched on 1st January 2021 with the aim of promoting the exchange of experience between professionals from European and Western Balkan partner organisations committed to grassroots sport and HEPA, as well as developing, strengthening of professional and organisational links through mobility.

Being a mobility project, the Covid-19 pandemic initially made it quite difficult to implement the project as originally planned, but fortunately, thanks to flexible implementation and personal meetings in the second year of the project, the goal was achieved: numerous conferences, online and personal meetings took place.

With the active participation of 11 partner organisations from 10 countries, the sharing of experiences and good practices in the field of grassroots sport and beyond contributed to the development of personal skills of the project participants, while personal meetings, study visits have strengthened the relationship between partner organisations.

We believe that the collection of good practices shared within the project will serve as a source of ideas for many, while the evaluation of the questionnaires on the 3 focus topics (the state of school sport; PE, school sport and physical activity in schools; volunteering) will contribute to the development of future cooperation opportunities in this field.

The good practice collection and the results of the online survey are available on the project website: https://gem.move-transfer.com/ .

With our final short promotional video, we would like to thank the partners for their active participation and, at the same time draw attention to the importance of such opportunities, mobility projects in the field of sport.

We look forward to continuing cooperation!

The project was co-funded by the European Commission under the call EAC/S07/2020 – Preparatory Action – Exchanges and mobility in sport.
