Second workshop of SHAPE Erasmus programme took place in Athens
Organized in cooperation with the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs in Athens, the two-year long SHAPE project (“Shaping the principles and development areas for health-oriented physical education based upon the comparative analysis of the core curricula in some EU member states in order to establish a common European framework”) had its second workshop on 25-26 November, 2015. Besides HSSF as coordinator, the project partners are the Greek Ministry, the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University from Germany, Kaunas University of Technology from Lithuania, and Ljubljana University from Slovenia in the Erasmus consortium. European Physical Education Association has also presented about Luxembourg at the workshop as professional contributor.
The experts of the participating organizations discussed the results and main findings of the project’s first phase focusing on the existing backgrounds of the European qualification framework (EQF), life-long learning and the related key competences. HSSF’s collegues introduced the major development areas of European Framework of Quality Physical Education, and the partners discussed the governing aspect list for the upcoming analysis of the country’s national curricula. The implementation of the project continues with the examination of the 6 EU member states’ curricula from PE perspective, to be able to form recommendations for concrete interventions on developing health oriented quality physical education by establishing the European Framework of Quality Physical Education.
