European Panna Tour arrived in Hungary in the frame of NowWeMOVE campaign of ISCA (International Sport and Culture Association).

Panna is a worldwide popular street football game that can be played anywhere with just a ball and by anyone, regardless of training level. Panna, also called “nutmeg” or “tunnel”, is a specific technique of football in which a player rolls or throws the ball between an opponent’s feet. The aim of the game is to beat your opponent by scoring more goals or ultimately playing the ball through the opponent’s legs, otherwise known as a PANNA.

The Hungarian event of the tour was organized by Hungarian School Sport Federation in Budapest, in Heroes Square, welcoming 4 semi-professional players from Denmark. Budapest was the 8th and last station of European Panna Tour, which started in Copenhagen, Denmark in May and travelled 3000 km through Ljubljana, Zagreb, Skopje, Thessaloniki, Plovdiv, Pitesti before reaching the Hungarian capital.

Beyond the four brilliant Panna players we had special guests: Kitti Szász, world- and European champion freestyle football player, György Sándor and Robert Feczesin, natinal players of the Hungarian champion Videoton FC. The winners of the Football Student Olympics (boys: Dózsa György Secondary School, girls: Szent-Györgyi Albert Primary and Secondary School) also joined the event.

NowWeMOVE is Europe’s biggest campaign promoting sport and physical activity. Launched in 2012 by the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA), it brings stakeholders from the sport and physical activity sector together with a variety of other sectors to tackle the physical inactivity epidemic across Europe. The cross-sector vision of the campaign is to get “100 million more Europeans active in sport and physical activity by 2020.” The overall objectives of the campaign are to raise awareness of the benefits of sport and physical activity among European citizens.

Hungarian School Sport Federation joined the campaign to promote health enhancing physical activity in Hungary.

European Panna Tour is part of the NowWeMOVE campaign, supporting the European Week of Sport – #BeActive.
