Mentor School Teachers on a Professional Visit to Ireland

Thanks to the ERASMUS+ programme for the mobility of sport staff (KA182-SPO), teachers from selected mentor schools participating in the Hungarian Active School Programme, along with colleagues involved in its professional development and operational implementation, took part in a professional visit to Ireland.
Between May 5–8, 2025, participants had the opportunity to visit Dublin and learn first-hand about the work of the Mayo Education Centre, with a special focus on the Active School Flag programme. Through school visits, they gained close-up experience of the programme’s implementation—from the activities of student teams to the organization of active breaks.
We are pleased that the participants returned home enriched with numerous new ideas, good practices, methodological solutions, and fresh perspectives. These will contribute not only to the further development of the Hungarian Active School Programme but also to the development of the participating mentor schools, as well as to the motivation and skills development of the involved teachers and staff.
The visit also helped strengthen long-term professional relationships. A key objective is to welcome the Irish partner organisation in Hungary in the future, while also exploring further opportunities for mobility and exchanges between Hungarian and Irish schools.
Many thanks to Erasmus+ for their support!
