Hungarian School Sport Federation (HSSF) held the opening workshop of its second Erasmus Plus Programme on the 28th of May.

The goal of the project is to be able to organize a pilot European School Sport Day and to form its professional content, based on the good practices of HSSF and the partner organizations. In order to achieve this goal, we are establishing an online toolkit, describe the practices which have proven themselves, and make it accessible and implementable for anyone.

In the cooperation, International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA), Youth Sport Trust (UK) and European Physical Education Association (EUPEA), umbrella organization of national PE teacher associations, primarily contribute as experts to develop the toolkit, whereas the Bulgarian BG Be Active and the Polish Fundacja V4 Sport also undertook the organization of the event based on the toolkit along with HSSF, in the frame of the European Week of Sports.

In the kick-off meeting of the project, the partners introduced those good practices and events from their organisations which may serve as base for the European School Sport Day, and started to elaborate the 3-year action plan ensuring the sustainability of the project. The following workshop will take place on the 29th of June, 2015, in Warsaw, Poland.

Naturally, we are glad to receive suggestions and ideas for European School Sport Day from further organizations and EU member states, because the members of the consortium are committed to build the European School Sport Day using as many good practices as possible, ensuring the organising of meaningful, interesting and colourful events in September 2015.
