Tibor Navracsics has personally welcomed Hungarian School Sport Federation in Brussels at the European Sport Village, where approximately 20 international organisations have been represented. The European Sport Village was the opening event of European Week of Sport, where Hungarian School Sport Federation had been invited as coordinator for one of the largest school sport event of Europe, and the only invitee from Hungary.

Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport visited the sole Hungarian exhibition stand on Wednesday, at the one-week-long European Sport Village event. As the opening of European Week of Sports, around 20 European organisations active in the field of sports were given the opportunity to introduce themselves. Among them was Hungarian School Sport Federation that attracted the attention by organizing one of the largest mass sport events.

Any Hungarian school would be welcome to join the annual Hungarian School Sport Day, to spend two hours moving together, students and teachers as well. The outstanding initiative within Hungary has been successfully continued since 9 years, and last year, the movement-developing school sport day had almost 800 school with 200 000 students participating.

This year, the event that is organized on Friday, 25th of September, will be part of European School Sport Day (ESSD) for the first time. The ESSD will be also organised in Poland and in Bulgaria on the same day, and hopefully other European countries will be joining the initiation.

The highlight events of Hungarian School Sport Day will be held on the Margaret Island in Budapest, as well in six county towns, involving around 500 children on each location.
