The term Lifelong learning may sound familiar for many but for most of us, it is not that evident. The EU intent to support member states in the process to provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to stay on the labor market, and to fulfill individual life paths. In the aging Europe life expectancy in 2060 grows by 7,9 years for males and 6,5 years for females compared to 2010 – according to the prognosis of EC. Based on these facts it is safe to state that the next generation will face a new challenge regarding employment and particularly staying on the labor market; the necessity of spending more time working and in employment. In the revision of the LLL-KC Reference Framework in 2017 and 2018, Hungary lobbied for the implementation of competence components necessary for a health-conscious future-oriented life management, by which regular physical activity can be a breakthrough point. In this process, huge support was the already existing concept of Health-conscious future-oriented life management key competence, which was developed in an ERASMUS+ project called SHA P.E. with the contribution of HSSF and 6 partner organizations from Europe, and which was chosen as a success story by the European Commission. The revised framework was accepted in May 2018., in which in addition to the former Social and citizenship competences significant emphasis goes to personal and interpersonal skills, and the health-conscious and future-oriented life management as a competence component appears numerous times in the document. This hopefully would affect the new National Core Curriculum, where HSSF is in a position to give a proposition regarding the content of the PE and sports learning area.
